The purpose of this program was to organize a Crisis Centre and Shelter for children abused both in their families and outside them.
     The program was made possible by the financial help offered by FDSC - a member of the "Soros" Foundation and because of our collaboration with the Society of Psychotherapy and Psyho-social Intervention "Catharsis".
     During the months when this project was active (between the 1st of October 2000 and the end of the year 2002), about 100 "tiny souls" were "being repaired" - as a journalist wrote after visiting the "Stolen Childhood" Center.
     The complexity of all these cases required long periods of time during which our specialists would offer psycological/sociological help (between 2 or 3 to 6 months) in order to release the child from the effects of the trauma which - sometimes - was caused by indifference, ignorance or abuse by adults.
     As we came to the end of this program, we had the satisfaction of seeing the successful social reintegration of all our children. All those children - who seemed completely destroyed when they came to us, succeeded - despite the hardships - in regaining their trust and emotional stability.
